Project on Midland Avenue, Wayne, PA
We doubled the size of this turn of the century Wayne Victorian. Utilizing old world building techniques, custom made wood moldings and matching finishes, we were able to seamlessly blend the 3000 square foot addition with the unique Victorian Architecture of this exceptional home. We exactly reproduced the elaborate finishes of granite, wood shingle, and cedar corbels. The interior of the addition contains a basement playroom, new kitchen and family room, 5 ½ bathrooms, master bedroom suite, in-law suite, third floor observation porch, spiral stairs, and a four story elevator. This project was honored with the Historic Preservation Award from The Radnor Historical Society.
Project on Walnut Avenue, Wayne, PA
An extraordinary Victorian home on Walnut Avenue in Wayne was hidden behind overgrown hedges and metal siding on a prominent corner. It had suffered from 50 years of rot and neglect, but the new owners had the foresight to see the gem hidden underneath. We added a master suite addition with second floor porch, dining area, family room, new kitchen, larder, wet bar, air conditioning, new heating and carefully matched, replaced or restored the beautiful exterior Victorian features. This project was also honored with the Historic Preservation Award from The Radnor Historical Society.
Project on Varnum Drive, Wayne, PA
Following a successful renovation for this customer’s parents, she hired us for a major expansion of her own home in Wayne. We designed a dramatic new look for this split level with a balcony perched above a two-story foyer with an open dormer. The new stairs and balcony lead to a dramatic new master suite with vaulted ceilings. We also added a luxurious bathroom and large walk-in closets. The kitchen and dining room were renovated and combined into one spacious area with large new windows looking over the rear yard and gardens. The existing garage was combined with a lower level space and renovated into a new family room.
