We created a 2nd floor dormer addition and a two story addition with a new private staircase to the second floor on Mt. Pleasant Road. This is our second project for this client, having completed a bathroom renovation for her over 10 years ago.
This beautiful and unique turn of the century brick home has had many incarnations. We redesigned, updated, and renovated the entire house while maintaining the old world charm. New features include a glorious new kitchen and breakfast room, an open and inviting new entrance hall, a mudroom with shower and built in cabinetry, a master suite with office and claw foot bathtub, a second floor laundry room, new bathrooms, restored fireplaces, all new Pella windows and a fully restored interior with custom made stained oak millwork.
A classic stone colonial, the home had several additions added to the back. We expanded their awkward family room to actually fit their family, expanded and renovated their kitchen, created space for an informal family dining table, built a mudroom, expanded the basement for an exercise area, added stairs and dormers to the attic to create a third floor office space and installed stone walls, a slate patio, slate and stone steps and extensive drainage to solve a pesky wet basement problem.
