A graduate from Albright College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics, Adam spent his early career as an engineer working on things like military radar systems and nuclear power plants. After several years of running a lab at the University of Pennsylvania, Adam's love of working on older homes finally took precedence. In 1989, he and Nick Walker, decided to team up and start Cottage Industries. 

Nick is was born and raised on the Main Line. After graduating from college with a degree in fine art, he immediately put his love of older homes to work by buiyng and renovating homes for rent or resale. Eventually, Nick and Adam teamed up on a few projects of their own and a partnership was born. In 1989, that partnership became Cottage Industries and has been growing ever since.

Our Project Managers (PM's ) oversee the day to day operations on your project. We select people not only for their construction knowledge and hands-on experience, but for their strength of character and heart. The PM will be your advocate and trusted advisor throughout the project. 

Our architects, designers, and engineers are selected for their ability to be both creative and sensitive to each customer's budget considerations. We have developed partnerships with several local firms. This arrangement provides flexibility and keeps design costs lower by eliminating overhead.

Our carpenters and other craftsmen and women are selected for their commitment to quality, pride in their work, and mastery of their trades. They are independent contractors that we have established long working relationships with.
